Signature Homes STEAM Scholarship 
Signature Homes STEAM Scholarships are established to support and encourage
students from Hoover and Spain Park High Schools to pursue further education
at an accredited two- or four-year college following graduation. This one-time
scholarship furthers the mission of Signature Homes to foster connectivity,
community, and create life-changing experiences.

Signature Homes will award A $10,000 scholarship at each high school. This
scholarship is designed to help understand how STEAM (Science, Technology,
Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) will make Signature Homes a better
company. 
Entries must be submitted to the College and Career Room by 3:45 on 4/4/25.

Coosa Pines Federal Credit Union Scholarship

Hoover Historical Society Scholarship Award 2025
The Hoover Historical Society offers an educational scholarship for $1,000 paid to an accredited two-or four-year college or university for tuition or other expenses. This one-time grant furthers our mission of promoting an increased awareness and knowledge of history. In addition, scholarships for skilled trades are awarded to (5) deserving students from the Riverchase Career Connection Center (RC3). Scholarships are sponsored by individuals and businesses in our community. 

Criteria for selection:
Academic performance; community service, eg., involvement in organizations & activities; and a typed, double -spaced 1,000-word essay-using topic 'prompts' provided on this application. The essay should include a title or topic; good grammar and spelling; and a citation of sources.

Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award
  
General Information: 
The goal of the Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award is to encourage young women to participate in leadership
positions by recognizing the candidate’s commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership
achievements and a dedication to building a better world for women and girls through service and advocacy. 
In order for more women to be represented in key decision-making positions worldwide, we must encourage young
women to pursue careers or seek leadership positions in public policy making, government and volunteer organizations
and further their education with these aims in view.    
Who is Eligible? 

• Women, aged 16-19 on 1st April each year, living in a Zonta district or who are citizens of a Zonta country, who
  demonstrate evidence of the following, are eligible to apply. 
• Active commitment to volunteerism. 
• Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid). 
• Volunteer leadership achievements. 
• Knowledge of Zonta International and its programs. 
• Support for Zonta International’s mission of building a better world for women and girls.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Enrolled full-time high school juniors in the US, progressing normally toward graduation in spring/summer 2026 with plans to enter a college in the United States no later than the fall following graduation.

The Jefferson County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority is offering scholarship
opportunities to deserving high school seniors in Jefferson and Shelby counties. Our scholarship
program uniquely focuses on students with a GPA ranging from 2.70 to 3.64.

The scholarship requirements are as follows:

This is a $5,000 Scholarship in the name of Coach Robert (Bob) Finley. This scholarship was established by former athletes of Coach Bob Finley. The JLB Academic Scholarship is a non-renewable scholarship, distributed annually. The number of recipients varies each year based on available funding. Awards are given in amounts ranging from $2,500-$5,000.

Linly Heflin Scholarship 

Linly Heflin grants scholarships for up to eight semesters or 5 years in the amount of $5,000 per semester to a limited number of applicants who have  economic needs and proven academic records.  An ACT score of 23 (superscored) is required. Scholarships are restricted to Alabama women who are United States citizens attending four-year accredited Alabama colleges or universities. 

This application form with supporting documentation must be completed by January 10, 2025 at 11:59p.m. Necessary documents include academic transcripts, ACT score verification, and verification of income.

College Scholarship opportunity that's specific for senior class students who may have been diagnosed with Type One Diabetes.

With the national corporate support provided by embecta, our Jim's Team 4 Diabetes Foundation will be providing "25" individual College Scholarships each valued at $500.00 for T1D students across the USA. American Legion Scholarship

Eligibility

1. Students must be legal residents of Alabama.

2. Person applying for scholarship must be a son, daughter, grandson, or granddaughter of a veteran that served their country during times of war.

3. You must be attending a University that we have a scholarship at. (See attached list) Applications must be returned to American Legion Scholarship, P.O. Box 1069, Montgomery, Alabama 36101 and received not later than April 1, 2025. Scholarships are $850.00. Only recipients will be notified.
