Hoover City Schools is proud to announce Dr. Sherita Williams as the principal of Riverchase Elementary School, bringing more than 30 years of educational experience. She will join the Riverchase family from Greystone Elementary School, where she has served as assistant principal for the past 10 years.
Throughout her career, Dr. Williams has served as an elementary teacher, math tutor, reading and math intervention teacher, and school administrator. She brings 15 years of elementary leadership experience from her time as an assistant principal at Greystone and South Shades Crest Elementary School, along with two additional years of K-8 administrative experience in Sumter County. As an assistant principal in Hoover City Schools, she has participated in the district’s Aspiring Principals Academy, a leadership development program designed to prepare future principals.
In 2025, Dr. Williams was recognized as the Alabama NAESP National Outstanding Assistant Principal District IV Nominee, reflecting her commitment to instructional leadership and student success. She is also an active member of the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS), the Alabama Association of Elementary School Administrators (AAESA), and the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP).
